· Manage complex architecture projects with budgets up to $8 million at 10 historic sites around Texas.
· Act as Owner’s Representative to provide design and preservation assistance to outside architects and contractors on new construction, reconstruction, restoration, renovation and preservation projects.
· Design and architectural services for in-house projects. SD through Close-out.
· Process pay applications and verify budget and schedule compliance.
· Assist in grant applications and coordinate requirements of successful applications (FEMA & NPS – Harvey related disaster assistance). Assist FEMA develop scope for compensation.
· Prepare RFQ/RFP postings, evaluate and score responses to choose best firm/contractor/applicant.
· Preliminary estimating for budgeting purposes.
Program Specialist III:
· Provided assistance regarding preservation techniques for historic buildings.
· Reviewed projects under Section 106 of the NHPA, the Antiquities Code of Texas, Recorded Texas Historic Landmarks, State Antiquities Landmarks, and preservation easements and covenants.
· Advised on incorporating ADA standards into historic buildings.
· Administered Texas Preservation Trust Fund grants.
